Well, hello there readers! I haven’t written much in the last few weeks (OK, since May) but there is good reason for that, and a light at the end of the tunnel! As I mentioned in May, there was a round of lay offs at Jesse’s job and we had to make a quick decision to move home to Ohio, where we stayed with family. I have to be honest and say that it was difficult for me to see theย “blessing in disguise”. I was frustrated to say the least. But now we see what the blessing in disguise really was! That blessing came in the form of ANOTHER move and great new job for Jesse. From interview to acceptance of the job to moving was just 2 short weeks.
So what now? Now we are in our new home! Friday we, along with my parents, his dad and his sister (sadly his mom and my sister couldn’t make the trip), made the drive from Ohio to suburbs of Chicago. With their help we were able to get almost everything unpacked and in place. I am so excited to have my kitchen things back, but even more exciting is the fact that we are able to start setting up the nursery! We even put the crib together! We are so thankful for the hospitality and generosity his parents showed us while we stayed with them but it’s still really nice to be able to nest and feel really at home again!
All of this also means that I can finally get back to regular blogging! Keep your eye out this week for all new posts and recipes!
And of course no Weekend Dish would be complete without pictures of my adorable cats
Here they are back in the car ready for the drive to their new home
Getting comfy in their new home!
You look amazing!
Can’t wait to see what you’re cooking up in there. AND what you’ll be creating in the kitchen of your new home ๐
Woohoo! Doesn’t it feel great to see the light at the end of the tunnel?? You look gorgeous and I can’t wait to see how the nursery turns out. Congrats to Jesse on his new job, too!! Very exciting news for you guys!
What an exciting time for your family! Congratulations on so many new blessings and one more, in particular, still to come!
